Vth International Conference on Aerospace System Science and Engineering ICASSE 2021 is an international conference organized by the Moscow Aviation Institute in conjunction with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University and dedicated to topical research and development in the aerospace field. Purpose of the conference is to exchange experience between specialized scientific, industrial enterprises and universities of the aerospace complex of Russia, USA, Canada, Europe and Asia, with the involvement of various representatives of the scientific community. The conference has been held since 2017 in turn in Shanghai, Moscow and Toronto, however, due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, the conference will be held online for the second year in a row using remote technologies. The support of the permanent sponsors of the conference, as well as the attraction of new participants, including representatives of the aviation industry of Russia and China, Europe, Canada and the United States, allows year after year to consider the most up-to-date issues and key considerations in the field of aerospace engineering. This year the conference is held in the implementation of the program for the creation and development of the World-Class Research Center “Supersonic” for 2020-2025 funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (Grant Agreement of November 16, 2020 No. 075-15-2020-924).
Permanent aim of the ICASSE is to ensure excellence and high scientific merit of the conference proceedings, as well as increasing the citation rate of Aerospace Systems Journal. After a careful reviewing process, all accepted papers with registration and presentation will be published in special part of Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering series (Springer), indexed by EI and Scopus. The very best papers will be recommended by the program committee for publication in Aerospace Systems Journal (Springer), also indexed by Scopus.
